WHEN: Thursday, October 27, 2011 @ 7:00 PM

WHERE:
CUNY Medgar Evers College
1638 Bedford Avenue, Academic Building
Brooklyn, NY

Sponsored by the George Soros Open Society Institute through their Center for Black Male Achievement (CBMA) the “Less Talk…More Action” Economic Empowerment Tour, (LTMA) focuses on using financial literacy as a primary tool of empowerment for the Black community. This unique approach expands financial literacy to also include unemployment, incarceration, and education with specific focus on:

  •  Improving financial literacy rates in African American communities
  • Reducing unemployment rates in African American communities
  • Reducing mass incarceration rates in African American communities
  • Improving educational quality and motivate the use of financial literacy as a part of school curriculum in African American communities

“No more talking about the issues that plague the Black community…let’s start putting together a plan of ACTION! If you have a solution…we want to hear it so come out! If you have a problem that needs a solution…we have the experts here to address it so come out! If you want to complain about your problem…stay home or see a therapist because this isn’t the forum for you.” Ryan Mack Tour Creator and Facilitator
