Money Saving Mobile Apps
Ever wondered how your mobile phone can actually save you money instead of draining your bank account at the end of the billing cycle? Black Enterprise magazine recently posted great tips on mobile apps that can help you save money such as:
- CardStar – Helps keep track of store reward cards (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android)
- MobiQpons – Scans coupons directly from your phone (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android)
- Red Laser – Allows you to comparison shop right in the store by scanning barcodes with iPhone camera (iPhone)
In addition to these great apps, some of our other fav money saving apps are:
- Google Shopper – Provides product information, prices and stores for scanned products (Android)
- Loot – Having trouble balancing your checkbook? This neat app allows you to balance your accounts electronically. For about $4 you can upgrade to the premium version which allows downloads from Quicken and view charts/graphs. (Android)
- Grocery Gadget – Enter your shopping list at home (via web or phone), find matching coupons, and import recipe ingredients for price comparison. (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android)
- Foursquare – Sure many of us use this to check-in our locations with friends, but some merchants offer special discounts on food and merchandise by simply checking-in or tweeting about their store. (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android)
